3-Year-Old Child Fatally Shoots Self In Trenton: Prosecutor

A three-year-old child accidentally shot themself to death in Trenton, authorities said.

The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force responded to Princeton Avenue on a report of a child suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a county prosecutor.

The child has been pronounced dead by Capital Health Hospital.

The firearm was recovered.

The investigation is ongoing.
